Hot vulcanised — the strongest, when there's time

A hot vulcanised joint is the strongest splice a fabric belt can carry, and the one we make for our own warranty. Its real price is time: press rigging plus a full cure, per joint. In a planned shutdown it is the default choice — the joint integrates into the belt and, done properly, outlives the covers around it.

Cold bonded — freedom from the press

Cold bonding trades some ultimate strength for freedom: two-part cement, a controlled cure, no platens to rig in a tight gallery. It suits joints a press cannot physically reach and belts that must turn within a shift. One hard rule — never on heat-grade belts at kiln discharge, where the bond would outgas and let go.

MLT Super-Screw® changes the arithmetic when the line is down: a flexible splice driven in with a cordless tool, no press, fitted inside a shutdown window, running like a vulcanised joint and re-usable at the next shortening. Matched to belt tension — SS80 to SS180 held ex-stock in Ipoh as sole Malaysian distributor — it is why a belt torn at 22:40 can run before dawn.
